Chautari: privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Chautari is a collection of games for two people on one phone, made by Aftershape in Nepal. It is made to keep nothing about you.
What the app collects
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The app does not ask for, read or send your name, your contacts, your photos, your location or any identifier of your phone or of you.
What stays on your phone
The app remembers a few things so it can work the way you left it. They are kept on your phone, in the app's own storage, and nowhere else:
- the language you chose, and whether sound and vibration are on;
- the Cup scoreboard (how many games Player 1 and Player 2 have won, and how many were drawn);
- your best score in Dharahara, and whether you have seen its first hint.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, deletes all of it.
Internet and permissions
The app does not use the internet and does not ask for permission to. The only permission it uses is vibration, to give a small buzz when something happens in a game. You can turn it off in Settings.
Other companies
The app contains no code from advertising or analytics companies and shares nothing with anyone. It is built from open-source parts that run entirely on your phone.
Children
The games are suitable for the whole family. Because the app collects nothing, there is no information about children, or about anyone else, for it to keep or share.
Changes
If this ever changes, the new policy will be published here and the date above will change with it.
